Happiness

One day, a lotus bloomed,

In the quagmire with ambrosia from the heavens,

The armor of his love,

Raised my spirit above sins deadly seven,

With no desire to impress or groom,

No impulse of here and now.

Why was I happy when darted with poison?

Nothing broke my spirit,

When tides were raised by Poseidon,

The madness of his essence was epic.

Times when everything went awry,

My shortcomings within him he buried,

And loved me some more and let me be,

To find me, away from the burning heat.

Content in every moment of day and night,

Every argument and conflict only raised the bar,

Of what togetherness is and should be,

His love and compassion healed my scars,

Uncertainty and pain emptied.
